FAQs

Why do many drivers choose a used vehicle instead of buying new?

A used vehicle can lower your upfront cost and avoid the steepest early depreciation, and there’s plenty of choice. Cox Automotive expects retail used-vehicle sales to reach 20.3 million in 2026.*

Should I still get a used car inspected even with a clean vehicle history report?

Yes. Some accidents or repairs never appear on a history report, so a professional inspection adds another layer of confidence. Certified vehicles have already passed a multi-point inspection before they’re listed.

Can I use my trade-in as a down payment?

Yes. Your trade-in’s value can go toward the purchase, lowering the amount you finance and potentially your monthly payment. In many states, it can also reduce the taxable amount of the sale.
